Local schoolboy, Lewis Stevens, was due to be spending a week during July on work experience at McLays.

This was until he got selected to play roller hockey for GB U14s at the World Championships - in Los Angeles! Lewis was the only Welsh based player selected in any of the age groups.
Lewis asked Managing Director, Ken Vaughan, if he could put his work experience back a few weeks and come during the summer holidays. Ken was not only willing to support this idea, but McLays also offered to contribute some money towards the cost of the GB kit that Lewis needs to purchase.
Ken said "Although roller hockey is a minority sport, we are delighted that a local boy has managed to achieve the honour to represent Team GB. We hope our support allows him to enjoy this opportunity - and we look forward to hearing all about it when he joins us in August".
