Recently, McLays received an email from a local University Professor who had noticed that Bee Orchids were sprouting alongside the verge of our manufacturing plant.
However, our maintenance contractors had not realised and had unfortunately mown in this area.
McLays responded by identifying the area and placed signage indicating that the area was to be left “wild”.
Three to four weeks later we have many Bee Orchids brightening up the verge whilst frustrating the male bee population.
