The London Stock Exchange has published a list of "1,000 companies to inspire Britain 2016"...and McLays are one of just 25 Welsh companies to be featured.

The report, described by Xavier Rolet, the CEO of London Stock Exchange Group as "a landmark report identifying the UK's most exciting and dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises" was launched in late 2013.
2016 sees the 3rd edition and McLays join 24 other Welsh businesses in the list - an increase of 38% on 2015. 
In his commentary of the report, Chancellor of the Exchequer The Rt Hon George Osbourne MP states, "The entrepreneurs in this report illustrate our nation's capacity to produce word-class innovation".
The criteria to make the list were:
• Company status - active and registered in the UK
• Size and age - £6m-£250m turnover and over 3 years old
• Financial performance - calculated over a 3 year period across 4 sets of accounts
• Sector benchmarking - Growth rate against Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) sector
Ken Vaughan, Managing Director said, "To appear in this list is an honour and goes to show that the way we have evolved over recent years has been recognised outside our customer base, and is something everybody at McLays should be proud of."
